This geometric motif pendant was designed for the renovation of the original gymnasium of Wright’s Hillside home school (1902) into a theatre in 1933. It is well designed and reduces glare without glass or fabric shades, but employs wooden boxes and plywood shields to be suspended from the tall ceiling.

Frank Lloyd Wright

Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) is one of the most legendary figures in American architecture of the twentieth century.

He was recognised in 1991 by the American Institute of Architects as “the greatest American architect of all the time” and designed more than 1,000 structures in his 70-year career.
