Inlite actively participates in the Australian Packaging Covenant (APCO), an initiative aimed at reducing the environmental impact of consumer packaging. The Covenant focuses on two key goals:

  • Optimising resource recovery of consumer packaging throughout the supply chain: Inlite commits to adopting strategies that promote changes in the design, use, and procurement of packaging and packaged products. These strategies aim to reduce the use of resources in packaging and make packaging materials more easily recyclable. By enabling packaging materials to be returned to the economy, the Covenant seeks to minimise waste associated with the generation and consumption of consumer packaging across the supply chain.
  • Preventing the impacts of fugitive packaging on the environment: Inlite supports initiatives that foster new innovations and solutions to capture packaging materials or waste before they enter the environment. This may involve the adoption of new or alternative types of packaging that are more environmentally friendly and less likely to contribute to pollution.

Through its active involvement in the APCO, Inlite demonstrates its commitment to responsible packaging practices and environmental sustainability. By working collaboratively with other stakeholders in the industry, the company strives to contribute to the reduction of environmental impacts associated with consumer packaging.
